Andium Homes, tasked with delivering the Maisons Les Arches development, faced significant challenges in accurately capturing first fix construction details on-site. Traditional methods, reliant on manual documentation and inconsistent photographic records have proven to be inefficient and prone to human error. As the pace of construction increased, key data on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations can be often missed or poorly documented. This left Andium with limited ability to verify or reference the work once it had been covered over, introducing future risk during inspection, maintenance, or retrofit works.
To address these challenges, Andium Homes partnered with AEC360 to implement our Manag3d service. Through a structured schedule of digital site scans using the Matterport PRO3, AEC360 captured high-resolution 360° imagery and spatial data across Block B, Level 2 of the site during the first fix phase. This allowed for precise, time-stamped visual documentation of all in-wall and in-ceiling installations before they were sealed. The data was then organised and made accessible through the Matterport platform, enabling intuitive navigation and the ability to search and measure key assets.
With AEC360’s Manag3d service in place, Andium Homes now has a permanent, easily accessible digital record of first fix installations at Block B, Level 2 of Maisons Les Arches. The service has enabled project stakeholders, from construction managers to facilities teams, to review “behind the wall” details long after completion. This significantly reduces the risk and cost associated with future maintenance or remedial works, enhances accountability, and improves confidence in quality assurance. For Andium Homes, Manag3d has transformed how construction data is captured, stored, and used, setting a new benchmark for digital project delivery across their developments. AEC360 are continuing to work in Partnership with Andium Homes to capture their assets.
